Bring a piece of you to everything you do…you are your own walking advertisement!
So it is Fashion Week here in NYC and I am ready to get in on all the action. When attending events and shows, I like to dress comfortable yet stylish enough to make my presence known. Around this time of year I begin to anticipate the arrival of spring, and every store front window in New York City is teasing me with previews of their spring collection. It made me remember this oldie but goody I’ve had hanging in my closet for months now. This two piece matching set features a tuxedo pant and peplum blouse. My favorite part is the sequin print design because it is a perfect combination of dressy and casual giving the illusion of sparkle.
The top features an exposed zippered back, but I decided to style it backwards with the zipper in the front allowing room for a little cleavage. By doing this it created lapels which added more style to my look. To create a more fitted silhouette, I belted the top with a wide black belt which complimented the black tuxedo stripe in my pants. The top is sleeveless, so to make it winter appropriate, I wore a long sleeve tank underneath. Lastly I finished my look with a pair of turquoise pointed toe pumps to highlight the turquoise in the set.
This set is something I will mix and match with other pieces to create several different looks which is a win for me because I LOVE TO SHOP MY CLOSET!
