Don’t you all just loveeeee “SUNdays!!!” A day of rest and peace that allows you to unwind. The beautiful thing about SUNdays lately is there is actually SUN! I am so happy spring is finally in the air so I can finally show a little skin. As I mentioned in a few of my previous post, my spring and summer trends are prints and patterns, and preferably all mixed together.
In case you haven’t noticed by now, I am obsessed with black and white! It is my absolute favorite color combination. When asked to describe my style, I always say its simple, “I wear what I want.” On the weekend is when I get the chance to truly embody that style. Crop tops are so in this spring and plus size brands and designers have have showed up and showed out!. With so many women in the “curvy community” showcasing their curves in crop tops on the regular is is about time they gave the people what they want. For a while plus size women were heavy criticized for wearing crop tops, and I am happy to see that we are embracing them. I have a closet full of crop tops, and I will be offending people all summer long! As my blogger boo Essie Golden would say, “This summer will be very disrespectful!”
The thing I love most about crop tops is that they highlight just the right amount of midriff, while not creating an overexposed belly! I love the v-neck line of this striped crop top, and I also love that the stripes are multi-directional, creating more mixture madness! When wearing crop tops I like to wear lose fitting bottoms to create a more casual look. This pair of “Harlem” pants feature an abstract striped print which mixed perfectly with my top. I love the banded high-waist with self-tie sash, it makes them extra comfortable. Keeping with the trend of black and white, I finished my look with a classic sandal heel.
Hope you enjoyed a glimpse into my weekend style!
Happy “SUN”day!!! 🙂
