As I prepare so say goodbye to Winter, Im taking advantage of some of my favorite trends this season. The best thing about Winter Fashion is mixing different textures and adding layers to create a stylish look. Velvet had a major moment this season, and of course leather is a wardrobe staple. So naturally, the two together are the perfect winter wardrobe combo. But girl, can we have a moment for this longline vest? I am moderately OBSESSED with this piece. I received this beauty in a Dia & Co Style Box and I literally screamed as I pulled it out. I am the girl who loves a “throw on” garment to add contrast. I am a firm believer in transitional pieces; items in your wardrobe that are interchangeable with the seasons. This Vest is the perfect example, so be prepared to see it featured in my Spring & Summer Wardrobe too.
As if my natural born melanin wasn’t enough, I love how the rich & warm tones compliment brown skin. To polish off my look, I added a printed bootie, well because prints are always fun.
