So its the week of Thanksgiving and this will be my second year away from home for Turkey Day. Not only will I be freezing cold in New York City, but most importantly I have no idea what I am going to eat. lol So needless to say, I’ve got the Blues. I guess its all apart of growing pains, but I have a lot to be thankful for this Thanksgiving. By the way have you ever wondered why the color blue is associated with being sad? hmmm… Anyway, on to what inspired this look.  This morning it was pretty nasty outside, overcast  and  dreary, but I didn’t let the weather stop me from dressing how I feel. The rain won’t stop my shine. This morning I was feeling blue, not the emotion but the color! This vintage cobalt blue dress is one of my favorite vintage shop finds. I love how the ruffled shoulder pad shoulders gave it an old school feel. Of course I am a fan of stripes, but these blue stripes were the perfect compliment to the pleated bottom of the dress. Because “I’ve Got the Blues,” what better way to make the blue stand out than to pair it with matching shoes. Now, you may be thinking, “why is she wearing open toe shoes in the fall?” Well heres why. I am a firm believer that you should wear what you want and dress how you feel, so I pay no attention to silly fashion rules such as no opened toe shoes in the fall. I actually prefer them better when its a little chilly outside because you can pair them with tights of many different designs and colors, which makes your look oh so stylish. What do you think of my case of “The Blues?” &  Are you a fan of open toe shoes during the cold months? Leave your feed back In the Poll Below!

Happy Thanksgiving! 🙂
